Paperchains and 'cheese'cake!
Updated: Apr 27, 2019
Happy New Year to you all - I hope you had a wonderful festive time over Christmas! It seems a bit of a blur now but ours was lovely and the kids thoroughly enjoyed their two weeks off school!
I was thrilled with the response to Cotton Paperchain club! Thank you so much for signing up! I thought I'd share some tips that I found useful - not just for this club but generally! For those that are knitting, I find the crochet cast on method the best! You don't have to try and judge how much yarn you'll need like for the long tail cast on but you will need a crochet hook the same size as your knitting needles. I found this tutorial useful! If you are crocheting I find the single crochet foundation chain looks best and you don't have to do the fiddly first row into a normal chain! Tutorial here.
If you are looking to make bunting with your club I found a couple of crochet tutorials: Rows of single crochet bunting and granny triangle bunting. I have tried both of these and there is enough in each 10g skein!
Don't forget to come and join the facebook group! If you missed out on paperchain club but would love to join a club theres still time to sign up to Enchanted Forest Blanket Club and Cotton Ombre Rainbow Club!
Recommeneded Recipe!
Over Christmas I made this vegan 'cheese' cake and it was so good!!
The caramel sauce didn't quite look like the photos on the recipe but it tasted amazing!
It was also gluten free!
Find the recipe here!
Thats all for now! Off to knit some paperchain links!
